“Victory Would Undoubtedly Bring a Lot of Media Interest”

At First Team level the resumption of the season couldn’t have gone much better according to Club Partner Director, Chris Partridge, with the club potentially on the verge of matching its best cup run to date and in doing so enjoying the media spotlight that will almost certainly come with that.

“I think it’s fair to say that had anyone offered our supporters a 6-0 victory at Loughborough and a 4-1 win at West Brom in Rounds 2 and 3, that few would have baulked at that! I know that our S&C Coach, Matt Maher was delighted at the fitness stats when training recommenced on the 30th, and these subsequently materialised in both ties, with strong second half performances.”

“There’s a huge game at Huddersfield on Sunday in Round 4, with the likelihood being that whoever wins it will be the only side left in the competition from outside the WSL and Championship. That will undoubtedly bring with it a lot of media interest, whilst in reaching Round 5 we’d equal our furthest ever FA Cup Run, which was back in 08/09 where we eventually exited at the hands of Chelsea.”

Should the Ewe Rams progress, then a fourth successive away tie beckons in the shape of either Brighton & HA or Bristol City from the WSL.
