DCLFC U9’s v Chellaston
Alaina, Ava, Chloe, Daisy, Isla, Jasmine, Keira, Lucia, Maia, Megan, Tallulah, Wiktoria.
Derby got off to a bit of a slow start allowing Chellaston a few attempts at goal.
As soon as they found their feet, Derby were on the ball with some great runs through from both Keira and Chloe. Daisy had shot at goal, which was deflected out to Tallulah, who hammered it in to the back of the net!
The first half showed more brilliant teamwork from the Derby girls, moving the ball from the back with some accurate passes and great footwork.
Alaina played in goal the first half, making a couple of great saves and running out to tackle the Chellaston players.
Jasmine and Lucia played well, working together to take the ball up the pitch and earned a penalty.
Some good movement from Ava and Megan to make space on the wing and draw the opposition wide allowed Tallulah and Keira through to score.
In the second half, Megan played in goal.
Derby Girls continued to play well, moving the ball forward and running back when needed. Both Isla and Wiktoria had some runs with the ball, Keira and Tallulah setting up goals between them with Lucia, Alaina and Daisy getting their names on the score sheet too. They were all over the Chellaston girls in the second half, playing hard and defending hard to win the ball.
