Purpose Media Helping Local Football Recover with Partnership Renewal

Derby County Women are delighted to be continuing their Academy Team Partnership with renowned Digital Marketing Agency, Purpose Media for a 4th consecutive season heading into the 2020/21 football season.

The South Normanton based company will be keeping their long association with the Ewe Rams and it’s parent club, Derby County FC, for who they provide and help to run the clubs website and it’s impressive RamsTV production.

Speaking to DCFCW Media, Managing Director Matt Wheatcroft spoke of the benefits of the partnership and his hopes that the women’s game continues to grow.

Wheatcroft said “We are delighted to continue our partnership with the Ewe Rams and in these testing times, it is important that we continue to back local football clubs and do our bit to help them recover.

“Having two daughters that currently play the game, I know how much they have missed playing and seeing their team-mates and by continuing our partnership we are ensuring that we are giving the girls and their teammates, a much needed boost.

“As an Agency, we have been working hard with Derby County FC to help them provide a streaming service during the Championship run-in, ensuring that fans could still see the Rams matches so we’ve still been busy but it’s been a different experience working from home.

Continuing to Coach in the Derby County Women Academy for the 2020/21 season, Matt has been heartened by the work his Under 14’s team have been putting in doing skills tasks and meeting up on zoom meetings and in the early stages of the new season.

“During lockdown it was great to be in the garden and working on our skills and we kept in touch as best we could with the other players through Zoom calls and we set them challenges.

“It was important to get the girls together and seeing their faces and seeing them interact with each other was key for their own mental wellbeing. As a family, we enjoyed the time together but being with their peers was so important and kept things ticking along as best we could.

“We have gone into the new season with a new challenge as we make the move to the Central Warwickshire Girls League and it has been tough and we can’t wait to see how we get on for the remainder of the season.

Speaking on behalf of the Ewe Rams, CEO Duncan Gibb believes the continued backing of Purpose Media represents the value of partnerships with women’s football clubs.

Gibb said “We are really pleased to have signed an agreement with Purpose Media once again for the season and we are thankful to Matt and his team for the continued backing during these testing times.

“We are seeing the knock-on effect in football of the Covid19 pandemic and the influence it is having on the business industry and we want to ensure that for as many companies as possible, we are doing our bit to give them that boost, which in turn boosts us as a club.

“We have fantastic partnerships all across the club and we can’t wait to showcase them again this coming season and I know a lot of hard work is being put in to get all teams ready for the season ahead once we are given the go ahead.”
