“Potential Road Trips No Bad Thing” As FA Cup Round 3 and 4 Drawn

In announcing a resumption of the competition, the FA took the unusual step of announcing the draw for Rounds 3 and 4 of the competition; however this was tempered by the fact that these rounds will take place on 11th and 18th April, thereby resulting in three rounds of competition taking place on successive weeks. According to Operations Director, Dave Marriott, whilst at first glance the draws have not been favourable, they have in fact suited the Ewe Rams purpose.

“Should we win at Loughborough Foxes on 4th April, we would travel to the winners of the WBA/Lincoln City tie in Round 3, with further victory leading to a third successive away tie to either Huddersfield Town, Brighouse Town or Newcastle United. Historically clubs have tended to favour home advantage in cup competitions; however with the ground redevelopment at Mickleover due to commence in early April potential road trips are no bad thing.”
